James Irvine was an extremely talented English designer. When he died unexpectedly in 2013, his Milanese studio was passed on to two Italian designers, and still bears his name today. I didn’t know him, but I can imagine that he had a great sense of humour. Indeed, when Olivari enlisted him to design a model, he simply copied the make’s logo, which was actually an original idea, as well as a true success, given the Logo model’s perfect proportions.
