These olive-shaped knobs are destined mainly for old-fashioned communicating doors, equipped with a specific kind of lock, a metallic block screwed to the door and not recessed like has been the norm for a while now. So, as much as this product is popular, it can’t be used on modern doors for a simple reason: there is not enough space on a modern-style door to turn the handle without banging your hand in the process.
