Gio Ponti, Italian maestro of design and architecture sought lightness, he designed a chair that could be carried with a finger, the aptly named “leggera” and the first skyscraper in Milan that seems to defy the laws of gravity. This 1954 model has not aged a bit and remains ultra contemporary. To adapt “Lama” on fine rosettes, it was necessary to lengthen it a little, I can assure you that the proportions thus restored would have pleased Mr. Ponti.
