Joseph Cesare “Joe” Colombo (1930-1971) wanted to be a painter. He studied painting and adhered to the “movimento nucleare,” after which he turned his attention to industrial design, when he took over his family business. He had a great sense of humour and created, among other things, the smoking glass, inimaginable today, where one could put down a cigarette stub. This handle is very pleasant, thin, in contemporary colours, with an extra-fine rose. Its modernity is fascinating.
