In 2009, Toyo Ito brought us this model of door handle that embodies his vision. Mr. Ito describes this door handle as the very essence of what he calls "delicate angularity".
This pair of door handles is intended for:
- on newer doors (mortise locks);
- for doors with a thickness between 38 mm and 40 mm (standard thickness). This handle comes with a 7 mm square spindle and the adapters needed for installation.

In 2009, Toyo Ito brought us this model of door handle that reflects his vision. Mr. Ito describes this lever handle as the very essence of what he calls "delicate angularity". Made of brass, this door lever handle receives a high-quality PVD treatment to ensure longevity and resistance.
Born in Seoul in 1941, Japanese architect Toyo Ito created the "metabolist" movement within the Urban Robot studio. He then opened his own studio, working on a method that combines a physical reality with a virtual one, such as Yokohama's Tower of the Winds, sheathed in lighting that changes color over time. So poetic. He teaches in Japan, London and Columbia, USA.

Which finish should you choose for an outdoor installation?
The finish you choose will impact its resistance to the elements.
For this line of handles, you can choose any finish except black, white, and chrome (matte and glossy), as these finishes are less durable.
All other finishes come with a 10-year warranty, and in some cases even a 30-year warranty (PVD finishes: matte stainless steel, shiny nickel, matte nickel, copper, bronze, matte gold, and shiny gold).
